Located on the fifth floor the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health directly above British Columbia’s largest Alzheimers clinic, The Nygaard Lab is on the front lines of translational research into Alzheimer’s, Frontotemporal dementia, and other neurodegenerative diseases.

Dr. Haakon Nygaard
Dr. Haakon Nygaard, Fipke Professor in Alzheimer’s Research and director of UBC Hospital Clinic for Alzheimer Disease and Related Disorders, is working towards a cure for Alzheimer’s. He’s also tackling the challenge from another angle: prevention.
